gas boiler

I have a Baxi Bermuda S gas boiler and just recently it has started making a rumbling noise when the gas burner is on. It sounds similar to the noise you get from a blow torch when it’s just been lit and isn’t burning smoothly. The noise happens ONLY when the burner is lit. It also doesn’t happen the whole time, it’s intermittent, happening only a couple of times each evening. Any suggestions?
Many thanks for any useful info.
Kind regards
Luke H

Air in it somewhere – bleed all the radiators and it will stop

Sounds as if the burner needs cleaning, get in a qualified gas engineer to service the boiler. It is prudent to do this annually anyway.

In the UK only corgi registered gas fitters / plumbers can do this legally. I you do it yourself and the thing does go bang your insurance won’t cover any damage.

could be gas pressure to boiler, gas valve sticking, or overheat stat. In any of the above cases, call a corgi registered engineer to have a look and diagnose the problem

check with a corgi registered fitter.

Get it serviced sounds like its back lighting on the burner.
