The previous owners to this property had a similar problem. When the plumber came he found that the valve on the filling loop was open when it should have been closed. Don't know if this helps

plumber here , if your system is a pressure system ( a little red cylinder ) then your pressure should alway's sit at 1 bar , if all rad's are heating and vented then there are no blockage's , i can not think of a reason for your problem . before you get a plumber i know they can be dear over in england , get in touch with the heat advice council i think it's free and see what they say.

as above the safety valve will blow at 3/4 bar to stop your system getting damaged

Could be a faulty pressure gauge. Have you tried topping up the system will the fill loop (the flexi pipe with a tap on it) to see if the system pressure increases. If the pressure gauge increases & then slowly drops then this would normally indicate a leak in the system. If the gauge stays steady then all is well. If the system pressure exceeds 3-4 bar then normally it will self vent using a safety valve incorperated within the boiler. Have you shut off a number of radiators which could increase system pressure when the boiler is firing? Failing that......bite the bullet & pay for a pro to sort it out. Hope you get it sorted.
