There are people looking for alternative sources like:
Geothermal (heat and electricity)
Fuel Cells (electricity)
Nuclear fission (steam, heat and electricity)
Solar (Hot water and electricity)
Wind (electric)
Hydro (electric)
fusion (electric)
Hydrogen (electric and transportation)
Biodiesel (transportation and electric)
Wood (heat)

There is also the flip side that we need to practice conservation when at all possible. Drive smaller vehicles, live in smaller well insulated homes, turn off lights when not in use.

We should have started decades AGO. Some people think it's already too late.

For one thing, finding anything that is capable of providing the same amount of energy as easily as petroleum ... is doubtful at best.

Additionally, the only way we're going to make these discoveries is if we make them BEFORE we run out of oil.

Remember, oil is not just for energy. Most everything we use is made by using oil ... like plastics.

Best source: solar. We should all have solar cells on our roofs, provided by the federal government.

No, what energy source would we use. Solar is expenvise, wind is not egonh, and nulcear energy produces toxic waste.

yes, we should start contemplating on using water or maybe something that we have more of on this earth...like trash. That would be real reusing and recycling.
