I’ve just moved into a new flat and the combi boiler is showing 0 pressure. I turn on the tap on the filling loop and there seems to be a lot of water entering the system but the pressure is not going up. It just stays on zero. I don’t want to turn on the filling tap too long incase there is a big hole and the guy in the flat downstairs gets very wet. There is no sign of water leaking out of a radiator. So how long does it normally take to repressurise a combi system? Is it a couple of seconds or do I leave the tap on for minutes? Any help would be great. Thanks

- Why does my combi boiler keeps losing pressure?
my combi boiler works fine at heating my water and filling radiators but every couple of weeks the pressure gauge goes down to 0 and i have to fill it up again. I can’t find leaks on the radiators ( also i live in an upstairs flat so i would have the women downstairs knocking if i did). I must admit i haven’t had the thing serviced for some time. also how much roughly does it cost to service a combi boiler?... - Combi boiler pressure drops below 0 overnight and rises over 3 when on?
I’ve got a pretty new Heatline Vizo Condensing Combi Boiler. Everything was fine for the first couple of months and pressure held steady at 1.5 when cold, and rose to around 2 when the heating was on. Over the past few weeks, the water pressure drops below 0 turning the boiler off regularly. I can refill to 1.5 before going to bed, and it will be back below 0 in the morning. When I refill to 1.5 and have the heating on, the boiler pressure now rises to the maximum of 3. When the heating turns off, the pressure will drop again, eventually to below 0 within the space of maybe 8 or 9 hours. Whats going on? I cant find any obvious leaks (although the plumbing is underfloor), and there is no air in any of the rads. Ive drained and refilled the entire system a couple of times, but this has made no difference.… Read the rest... - Ideal classic combi 80 boiler, low pressure, loads of noise, no hot water?

I have a combi boiler. the pressure keeps going down every day despite filling. even when the pressure is ok i find that the water system does not work. the central heating works fine. there is no obvious leak. and no obvious build up of air in the system. can anyone help. can i fix the problem? thanks... - Why does my combi boiler pressure shoot up to 3bar?
I have a Baxi combi boiler (installed just over a year ago) and it has ran fine (opperating around 1.5-2bar) up until the 1 year warranty ran out (sods law!). Now when the system is off the pressure goes right down to 0bar. When I turn the heating on it goes up to 3bar. I have checked for leaks and bends/blocks in the flexi pipes (which there aren’t any) and also bled the system. When I turn the heating on (from 0bar pressure) the boiler makes cluncking sounds. Anyone have any ideas before I fork out a tonne for the plumbers? Thanks...

Mere seconds – sounds like you’ve got a problem.
hi,igot a combi boiler and i must have leak as my pressure goes down every few days. it takes bout 10 seconds for me to get the pressure from 1 till 2 so if u leave yours for bout 15-20 seconds it should be ok. hope u get it working!!
with mine it takes about 10 seconds and theyre is a gauge and it shows it going up.
Might be worth getting someone to have a look at it.
I used to rent a house that had one that kept loosing pressure and it needed a new part and leaked and it was loosing pressure coz it was leaking.
Was it empty when you moved in? (the radiators, I mean) Maybe the scour cock (drain valve) has been left open, in which case you will have to close it before you can fill the system. Look arond the house for a pipe coming through the wall, with water coming out while you try and fill it.
Sounds a bit worrying to me ,it is uaually quick to repressurise a combi i have one and it takes seconds, sounds like you have a problem, get a pro to look at it. Sorry for the bad news
