The combe boiler we currently have keeps going faulty, we have low mains water pressure and have been told a combi isn’t suitable. We have no water storage tanks. Anybody know what boiler type to recommend.

Vaillant Turbomax 824E. Want to refill with water and build up the pressure. Any advice please?... - Combi Boiler Water Pressure Issues?
We recently had a combi boiler installed in our rented property. Initially the plumbers left the cold water feed from the tank in the loft so the combi boiler was only supplying the hot water. Unfortunately due to the differing pressures (i think), the cold water feed was excessive whilst using the shower the overflow pipe from the loft rained from the side of the house. The plumbers have since rectified that problem by removing the cold water tank and using the boiler to supply both the hot and cold. Unforunately the water pressure is now so low that it takes 30 mins to fill the bath. Also the shower now operates too hot and eventually (after a few mins) runs cold then hot again. Any help would be appreciated.... - Why does my combi boiler keeps losing pressure?
my combi boiler works fine at heating my water and filling radiators but every couple of weeks the pressure gauge goes down to 0 and i have to fill it up again. I can’t find leaks on the radiators ( also i live in an upstairs flat so i would have the women downstairs knocking if i did). I intended to fit a thermostatic mixer shower with my new combi boiler heating system. However, the plumber has advised me that the water pressure I have is so low that the water flow would be poor and that for a more enjoyable shower an electric shower would be better. Is this correct? I have sought advice from various plumbers who all give different advice. Please help....

Most combi’s operate at as low as 0.5–1.0 bar pressure, I wouldn’t think that low pressure would keep making your boiler break down. What were the faults?? Look at Vaillant combi’s or speak to Vaillant for advice. You could get your pressure tested by a local plumber or your water supplier should be able to tell you. If the pressure really is too low you would have to fit an automatic booster pump to your mains supply.
A combination boiler should not have been installed if you do not have enough pressure, a combi will break down because of lack of pressure, they should be operated at minimum 1 bar (whether vaillant or not is irrelevant), Vaillant and Worcester Bosch are the best boilers on the market, but Worcester are more local (near Birmingham) and have more approved installers, you cannot force mains pressure with a pump, either install tanks (size would be determined by usage and flow rate from the mains), or upgrade your water supply to private main, (you are likely on the common main), the water board will connect you at the border of your property, but from there to your house is your responsibility, both are chargeable and a plumber would do the work from the boundary to your house.
